Hangin' in Hawaii

Here's an update with photos, about some of the things Bruce has been up to this past weekend - to view the full album of these photos visit here.

Okay, so for Bruce content, finally!

First, a photo of Sunset Beach (up on the north shore of the map) - Bruce is the photographer here and the guy in the centre is Andy - a disapointing lack of sunset here at Sunset Beach, especially seeing as they are one of your girlfriend's favourite things?? Just teasing!

Pretty close eh? I came upon the first photo while I was looking up the correct spelling of Hanauma (Bruce thought it might have been Hanaume - good old Google told me otherwise). Anyway I think he takes amazing photos and this is proof! He has a good eye for capturing the best view of a city or landscape so that he can bring a photo home and help you feel like you were there too.

So, more beach shots . . . Now this shot is funny! See that thing in the middle of Bruce's chest, yeah, the one that looks like a third nipple?? Well, luckily for me it's not! But too bad for him, this is his first lesson (for this trip anyway) in the dangers of applying sunscreen unevenly and missing an embarrasing spot on your body. I guess it could have been worse though, it could have come out looking like the sad silhouette of Mickey Mouse or maybe Saddam Hussein? I guess a 'third nipple' isn't so bad. And that was a sunburn from the day they were all out on the deck of the ship jumping off for a swim - even before this day Bruce had already noticed just how much stronger the sun's rays were so much closer the equator. And also notice how everyone else is basking in the sun and he's the only one standing in the shade of the lone palm tree? Yeah, redheads, go figure!

And in the words of Bruce "this last one is on the way to the north shore after hanaume bay, they all passed out and left me to drive on my own. not so bad, i found i wanted some time alone"

And that's it folks - that's all Bruce had time to email me from an internet cafe on the base (couldn't get all the photos to upload to Yahoo - soon!). You're probably wondering why you're hearing from the Brandy half of the Bruce and Brandy show so much already, as you can imagine Bruce hasn't had too much time to sit down and write up a proper post, he promises he will soon though and since they have 22 days on the ship until they hit Singapore I'm thinking he'll have some time soon.
